The fuzzy-looking flowerheads have no ray flowers. Leaves are opposite, relatively
thin, somewhat heart-shaped, sharply toothed and have a delicate petiole (stalk).

An upright herb (1 to 3 feet tall) of the woods with the smooth, firm stem terminating
in a number of flattish clusters of white flowerheads each about ¼ to ½ inch
wide. |
