A small to moderate sized herb (6 to 24 inches tall) with 4-petalled yellow flowers
and alternating, lance-shaped, entire, relatively small leaves (1 to 2 inches
long). The petals have a distinct notch and the flowers are ½ to ¾ inches wide.
The cluster of stalked flowers is interspersed with small leaves. Seed pods
