Hanging below the stem, at the leaf axils, is a row of elongated (0.5 to 0.75" long), greenish, bell-shaped, single to groups of four (usually two) flowers each with six lobes terminally.

Unstalked, lance-shaped or oval leaves (2 to 6" long) alternate along a single, arching stem.
