Usually seen as mats of low (2 to 6 inches tall) extremely branching plants growing
in sandy, dry or waste places. A terminal cluster of small pink flowers; each
flower about ¼ inch wide with 5 petals and 5 sepals, the later longer than the
petals. Leaves in tufts or whorls, about ½ to 1 inch long and very narrow. Photographed - June and July at Ottawa |
