Flowers have 9 stamens in 3 groups alternating with 3 prominent orange-colored glands. Leaves opposite, entire, egg-shaped and blunt tipped. (Photographed - August)

Single or small clusters of pink flowers (0.5 to 0.75" wide) terminally or in the upper leaf axils.
