Saxifraga virginiensis

Saxifrage Family - Saxifragaceae

Flowers have 5 petals and 10 bright yellow stamens. Leaves basal, oblong, broadly toothed to notched and up to 3 inches in length. Height about 4 to 10 inches. (Photographed – late April and mid-May)

A relatively thick, hairy stem bears a branching cluster of small, white or greenish flowers (0.25 inches wide).
