Aster or Composite Family - Asteraceae
Flower heads (3 to 6 inches wide) with a prominent, brownish, central disc and bright yellow, overlapping ray flowers. Leaves alternate, with rough hairs, a moderately long stalk, toothed and ovate to heart-shaped.

A generally tall plant (3 to 10 feet) with a stout, hairy stem.
