Purple-fringed Orchis

A 2 to 4 foot tall showy orchid with numerous prominently fringed, scented, lavender flowers in a prominent conical spike. Individual flowers about 1 inch wide with the lower lip having 3 fan-shaped, fringed lobes and a backward pointing spur. Lower leaves oval to lance-shaped and up to 8 inches long.
