The upper portion of the stem has many, small (1/2 to 5/8 inches long), white flowers arranged in a double spiral. Flowers arch downwards and the lower lip has fairly straight, tapering and frilly margins.

A rigid stem (about 6 to 7 inches tall) arises from a few narrow basal leaves.
