Mint Family - Lamiaceae

Leaf axils with crowded whorls of white to purplish-white hairy flowers (1/2 to 3/4 inch long) with purple bands on the lower lip. Calyx with 5 long bristles.  joints.  (Photographed - August)

Stems with stiff hairs and slightly enlarged below leaf

Leaves opposite, long stalked, egg-shaped and toothed.
