Mint Family - Lamiaceae
Tight round clusters of small (<1/4" long) lilac-colored flowers confined to leaf axils of paired leaves. Flowers formed as a bell-shaped 4-lobed corolla. (Photographed - August)
Leaves strong smelling, opposite, toothed and hairy (especially below). Stem square and hairy.
