Generally a tall herb (3 to 10 feet) with a terminal loose grouping of tiny, elongated
yellow flower heads only about ¼ inch wide. Flower heads composed only of
ray flowers. Leaves alternate, up to 1 foot long and quite variable in form; usually
deeply notched, but may be lance-shaped and entire, but all stalkless or
