An erect bushy shrub with numerous pink or white flowers arising in the leaf axils as a pair on a stalk about ¾ to 1 inch long. Each flower is ¾ to 1 inch long and is often irregularly divided into 5 deep lobes. Leaves, with an entire margin, are egg-shaped to oval and opposite on a short stalk.
