Distinctive streaked green and purple flowerhead composed of a hooded bract (spathe
or "pulpit") enclosing the male and female flower covered spadix or "Jack".
This structure grows below one or two long petioled leaves divided into 3 parts.
Fruit matures to crowded red berries on the spadix. See also the Common Jack-in-the-pulpit
