A plant with a creeping stem and short upright branches. Leaves opposite, long-stalked and fan-shaped with wavy margins. Flowers, which arise in the leaf axil, are about ½ inch long, bluish-purple, and 2-lipped. The lower lip is three-lobed with blotchy darker markings on the middle larger lobe.
