Lobelia kalmii
Bluebell Family - Campanulaceae/Lobelioideae
Flowers, about ½ inch long, are bi-lipped with the upper lip having two, narrow, flaring lobes and a three-lobed lower one. Leaves alternate, quite narrow and entire or at most indistinctly toothed.

Growing at shorelines and wet places, this generally short, delicate herb (6 to 12 inches tall) has blue to light mauve, white-throated flowers in a terminal, loose arrangement.
