Growing as a shrub or small tree (to 10 feet tall). Young branches are pink to yellow-green
in colour with numerous purple spots or streaks and warty looking zones.
Leaves paired, entire, somewhat rounded (i.e., fairly broad), but with a sharply
pointed tip, and 7 to 8 pairs of prominent veins sweeping towards the tip.
Small white, 4-petalled flowers in a many branched, flattish cluster. (Photographed at Eagle Lake - June 21, 2002) |
