Blue-stemmed or Wreath Goldenrod

Sunflower or Composite Family - Asteraceae

Clusters of flowerheads grow at the leaf axils, as well as terminally. Flowerheads yellow and small (about 1/4 inch long). Leaves alternate, 2 to 5 inches long, lance-like, toothed and tapering at both ends with a pointed tip.

Main stem red to purple in colour, smooth and often arching.
