Early Goldenrod

Sunflower Family - Asteraceae

Flowers in a curved, one-sided branching terminal cluster. Flowerheads about 1/4" wide and composed of both ray and disk flowers; usually 8 to 12 rays.

At least the basal leaves with obscure, sharp teeth. Leaves narrow, lance-shaped and taper gradually to the base. Stem green and smooth.
