Basal leaves that are much elongated, deeply lobed and toothed. Narrow, long stalks
bear single flowerheads (about 1 to 1.5 inches wide) composed of numerous, yellow
strap-like ray flowers. Many narrow bracts below the flowerhead with the
outer ones bent backwards. Stem exudes a milky juice. (Photographed - May) |
