Mustard Family - Cruciferae
Purplish-pink or white, 4-petalled, fragrant flowers arranged in a terminal cluster. Petals flare from a tubular cone from which the stamens and pistil just protrude. Seed pods, typical of mustards, elongated and thin.
Photographed - early June at Eagle Lake and Ottawa
Leaves alternate, shallow toothed, hairy on both surfaces and lance-shaped, with those on the upper stem stalkless.
