Flowers, with 5 pale yellow, clearly notched petals, are ½ to 1 inch in diameter and arranged in a terminal cluster.

An erect, hairy species with 5 to 7 leaflets that are not silvery-white on the undersurface. Alternate leaves with lance-shaped, coarsely toothed leaflets.
