The five-petalled flowers are yellow, about ¼ to ½ inches wide, and with prominent sepals only slightly shorter than the petals. (Photographed - July)

Growing upright (6 to 18 inches tall), this species has 5 narrow leaflets (distinctly silvery-white below) with infrequent and blunted teeth.
