Rose Family - Rosaceae
A deciduous, spreading shrub with reddish-brown to purplish-grey branches. Leaves are alternate, broadly oval to egg-shaped, with relatively short stalks, pointed tips and margins with many fine sharp teeth. Small, white, 5-petalled flowers are borne in cylindrical clusters about 2 to 5 inches long.
