Flowers are pale blue with violet veining, about 1/2" long and bell-shaped with 5 distinct lobes.

A weak, 3-sided, rough stem has a moderate number of branches bearing a single flower.
Leaves very narrow and inconspicuously toothed. Shoreline location.
