Submerged leaves are narrow, thin and arranged in a basal rosette. |
This variety of arrowhead is characterized by the arrowhead-shaped leaves (with
two backwards projecting lobes) floating flat on the surface. |
A whorl of three flowers, each formed of three white petals and three green sepals
with a long bract at the base of each flower stalk. Flowers borne on a relatively
long stalk projecting above the water's surface. (Photographed - late July) |
