Common Burdock

A bushy plant about 3 to 5 feet tall with flower heads in groups with short or limited stalks. Flower heads (0.5 to 0.75 inches wide) with numerous pink to purplish florets and green bracts with many hooked bristles. Leaves alternate and entire, with the large lower ones being heart-shaped. Lower leaf stalks hollow and not deeply grooved.
