Leaves opposite, relatively long and narrow with fine teeth. (Photographed - late June)
A hairy stemmed plant (1-3' tall) with a few stalked groups of purplish to violet, tubular flowers with white lips, the lower of which projects and bears a hairy sterile stamen.
