Aster or Daisy Family - Asteraceae
Flower heads, with white, pinkish or bluish ray flowers, are about ¾ inches wide.
The smooth stem of this 2 to 4 foot tall herb has narrow egg-shaped or arrowhead-like leaves having a stalk (petiole) with winged margins and shallow teeth.
Bracts on the outer surface of flower heads, narrow with a central green ridge. (Photographed – September)
