A tall (4 to 8 feet), square stemmed herb with 2 to 3 inch wide, yellow flower heads
with many ray flowers. Leaves rough, opposite and toothed. A distinctive feature
is the fusion of the basal part of upper leaves to form a shallow cup. (Photographed at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden - July 24, 2002) |
