A generally tall herb (varying from 3 to 8 feet) with a number of narrow, elongated
flower spikes. Flowers white, small (about � inch wide) and seem to be only
composed of numerous stamens as the sepals drop early and the petals are tiny or
absent; pistil single. Flowers with a disagreeable odour. Compound leaves with
