Leaf stalks, arising from an underground stem, are slender, stiff, reddish brown
and divide into two divergent branches each with 5 to 6 leaflets. |
A graceful, airy fern with compound leaves arranged in a horseshoe to almost circular
shape. |
In turn, each leaflet bears delicate, bluish-green, distinct subleaflets that have
clefts on the upper margin and are joined to the leaflet by a delicate stalk
